DES Investigating High Water Bills

In response to feedback from neighbors who recently received noticeably high water bills, the Department of Environmental Services (DES) will be performing data analysis of customer consumption trends along with weather data for 2019. Based on our review to date, there is no evidence high bills are a result of a systemic issue.

● More than 5,000 residential accounts registered more than a 50% increase in consumption from the previous year
● Almost 2,500 residential accounts more than doubled consumption from the previous year
