Sensors to Monitor Clarendon Crowds

Sensors to Monitor Clarendon Crowds
Sensors are scheduled to be installed in June on lampposts in Clarendon’s 2900 (Filmore-Garfield) block of Wilson Blvd. The sensors will use heat, light, and sound to track pedestrian movement and crowd flow. The County stresses that the sensors will not collect any personally identifiable information. The pilot project is expected to last 9 months. If successful its capabilities can be expanded and deployed to other areas.
