LVCA General Meeting, Apr 9, 8pm

The April meeting will feature three topics:
1. Police Traffic Enforcement and Pedestrian Safety. Captain Wayne Vincent, the Commander of the District 2 Policing Team, and other officers will discuss the ongoing traffic enforcement and pedestrian safety programs that are deployed in and around Lyon Village and Clarendon. With a densely populated community, these programs are key to ensuring the safety of all who use our street and sidewalks. This will be a good opportunity to ask questions about these ongoing efforts in the neighborhood.

2. BikeArlington, WalkArlington and Capital Bikeshare. Henry Dunbar, Director of Active Transportation for Arlington County Commuter Services, will give a presentation on the three programs. He will also address the updating of the Bicycle Element of the Arlington Master Transportation Plan, the rapidly changing nature of personal and shared mobility, as well as brief us on special events that are scheduled this spring.Arlington is a great place to bike. Thanks to its compact size and extensive network of trails, bike lanes, bike-friendly streets and programs like BikeArlington, Arlington County is recognized by the League of American Bicyclists as a Silver Level Bicycle Friendly Community.

3. Home Security Cameras. Brad Winkleman will share how he installed security cameras around his house.

The meeting will be held Monday, April 9 at 8pm at the Lyon Village Community House.
